Addiction to prescription painkillers is way out of control. Now it is the most commonly mentioned drug in our rehab 
clinics. We’re making room for new addicts entering everyday. I started working in the field of addiction rehab more than thirty years ago and I have never seen this type of surge. Even crystal meth is taking a back seat to hydrocodone and oxycodone.
Many Health Clinics dole out prescriptions to heavy opioid painkillers such as these with not enough attention to the possibility their patient is an addict. Some of these clinics have even earned the nick-name, “Pill-Mills”.
