No, but it CAN be the beginning of the end.
I have seen many, many people go through drug rehab treatment since I went through it myself in 1976. I’ve helped many of them to quit drugs and go on to live full lives without the anchor of drug dependence around their necks. I have also seen some fail and slip right back into the mud of drug addiction.
The reasons why some succeed and some fail are many, but nearly all of these addicts wanted to stop using. So what happened to those who didn’t make it?
It started with drug relapse.

They need your help, now, desperately.
An addicted person is not thinking clearly, it is obvious. When it comes to his or her addiction, they are making destructive decisions and doing stupid things.
Good choices and responsible actions are required to avoid worsening of the situation and deadly accidents. The user is not able to make those choices right now.
While you can never force someone into getting better, an expert interventionist can show the addict where he or she is headed and make it real to them that misery and possibly death lie down the path they are on.
They might come around some day and decide to quit and enter a detox rehab program on their own, but if you wait that long, it may be too late. Remember, the drug addict’s thinking is deadened, at least on the subject of his or her addiction. They cannot make valid or even logical decisions where their addictions are concerned. If they could, they wouldn’t be addicted!
